Discover World Heritage Listed Fraser Island with Fraser Island Retreat as your ideal base. The Retreat consists of luxury timber lodges which are nestled into the hillside at Happy Valley. We are located midway along the 75 mile surf beach of Fraser Island. All lodges are serviced, have cooking facilities, 24 hour power, private verandahs and are equipped with tea/toast facilities, bar fridge, television/video, heaters and ceiling fans.

The Retreat provides comfort and privacy for its guests with a swimming pool and B.B.Q. area within the complex and bushwalking, swimming and fishing all nearby. Fraser Island Retreat is the most central place to stay on the island with all major attractions within easy reach. The Retreat allows guests the option to cater for themselves or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Satinay Bar and Bistro.

The Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and provides snacks and takeaway meals throughout the day. The retreat complex is constructed from local Fraser Island timbers and provides guests with indoor/outdoor dining options and a comprehensive convenience store for all your every day needs.


	Fraser Island is famous for its natural beauty, endless beaches and untamed wilderness. Discover for yourself, the many freshwater lakes, lush rainforests, wild dingoes and brumbies while traversing the many inland tracks and surf beaches. Transfers are available by air with Air Fraser Island or by land with Fraser Island Top Tours (ex Hervey Bay daily).

Once at the Retreat, short Eco-Tours or 4WD Hire can be arranged. Fraser Island offers a diverse range of natural attractions which has justified it's World Heritage Listing. Just 15 minutes by 4WD from The Retreat, and you could be swimming in the pristine waters of Eli Creek. Another 5 minutes further on, inspect the rusting hull of the Maheno Shipwreck which was washed ashore in 1935, or marvel at the spectacular sand formations of The Pinnacles and Cathedrals.
